The new Hobbit trailer was released today. Yes, I am excited. No, this should not be a surprise. Based on this preview, I'm pretty sure I was right about where they're going to be cutting the film (Warg battle! Rescue from above!). I suspect a lot of this was in the preview that the lucky people at ComiCon saw, but I don't care because I have not seen it before. And it's awesome. *flails* 86 days to go! (I know, shut up).

HOBBIT.

TL;DR, The Hobbit is awesome and cleflink is insane.

EDIT: THERE ARE ALTERNATE ENDINGS! CHECK IT OUT!
Saw the National Theatre's performance of Frankenstein at the movie theatre yesterday, with Benedict Cumberbatch playing the Creature and Jonny Lee Miller playing Dr. Frankenstein.

Verdict = AWESOME :D

So well acted, amazing minimalist set work and a fantastic retelling of the novel with a focus on the Creature's POV. And damn, does National Theatre Live know how to record a live performance; it was almost like being there, noise from the audience before and after the show included. I can absolutely see why they did so well on the awards circuit this year.

Going back again next week to see them switch roles because this play was just stunning. EDIT 06/21/12: Saw the reverse version last night and it was also awesome. It was fascinating to see two very talented actors tackle the same roles and see where their performances were similar and where they differed. I especially enjoyed seeing the differences in how their creatures moved/stood/held themselves.

Final verdict = SUPER AWESOME :D :D :D Seriously. Go see this if you can find a local theatre showing it (on Saturday, probably). So good.

So the preview trailer for CBS' new show Elementary has just been released and it's kind of agh. Like, a lot. Even if I wasn't a huge fan of Sherlock, I would be completely unimpressed by this trailer. It's like, Sherlock the procedural cop show and the acting seems awfully flat considering that these are good actors. Honestly makes me wonder why CBS picked it up. *shakes head*

Just watched Martin Goes to Motown! Which is awesome because I am a huge Motown fan, which made it really fascinating to watch, AND because Martin Freeman hosted it. And I love him very much.

*happy sigh* Can I have a Martin Freeman? Please?

I just... I don't think he could be any more of a sweetheart. His kid in a candy store reaction to the vinyl store! Him singing along with the funk brothers! His seriously sexy blue suit! Tears of a Clown! And he does a damn good interview as well.

I wants one, my precious.
OH MY GOD, JOHN WATSON, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. YOU DESERVE HUGS FOREVER.

There'd better not be as long a time lag in the storyline between this episode and the first episode of series three as there is in the books, is all I'm gonna say. *flails*
