Title: Desperately Seeking Someone
Author: [personal profile] cleflink
Artist: [personal profile] dancing_adrift
Fandom: CWRPS
Pairings: Jensen Ackles/Jared Padalecki, brief Jensen/Others
Rating: PG
Word Count: 9000
A/N: Written for the 2017 round of [community profile] spn_reversebang.
RBB is one of my favourite challenges, because we have so many talented artists in this fandom, and I love the chance to get to work with new people and stretch my writing muscles to write to a visual prompt. This is the first time since I started participating that there was One Prompt that I wanted above all others, so I was beyond lucky to claim [personal profile] dancing_adrift's incredibly inspiring art. She has been a great partner to work with - even when I wasn't such a good partner to her - and her enthusiasm for this collab was infectious. I can only hope that I've done her fantastic art justice, and I hope that you all go visit her Art Post to give her some well-deserved kudos! It was great working with you, hon!
Thanks also to our lovely mods, for all the hard work they do keeping this challenge running smoothly.

Summary: After the dramatic implosion of yet another relationship, Jensen is ready to swear off love forever. Instead, he ends up trying to find a new boyfriend with what is perhaps the most unorthodox method known to man. He’ll never live it down if it actually works.

As it turns out, Fate has a funny way of showing him that what he thought he'd been missing all along… isn't quite what he expected.

Acknowledgements: I was brave (and lucky) this year and managed to claim the inestimable [livejournal.com profile] quickreaver for my artist, which was all kinds of fantastic. She is the master of haunting, beautiful images, and I had more ideas than I knew what to do with when it came to the piece that she submitted for claims this year. She was also very patient with me and my ludicrously long outline, even when I managed to make us miss our original posting day, and has created several gorgeous pieces to complement the story. Make sure you drop by her Art Post and leave her some love!

Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] dugindeep for helping me coordinate my many weird ideas into a single (hopefully) cohesive story, and for volunteering as a beta when I was losing my mind trying to balance RL, migraines and impending deadlines. I can always count on you, hon! You're awesome. :) Any remaining errors are my own.

Thanks to our lovely mods who keep us running smoothly, year after year.

And finally, thank you to everyone who gives this story a try. I sincerely hope you enjoy it!
Title: Out of Time
Author: [livejournal.com profile] cleflink
Artist: [livejournal.com profile] 2blueshoes
Pairing: Jared/Jensen
Rating: PG
Length: 9500
Warnings: historical violence
A/N: Written for the 2015 round of [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang. Most of the information about fencing comes from my brief foray as a member of the fencing team at my university, so I apologize if any of it is not as precise as it could be.
A million thanks to [livejournal.com profile] 2blueshoes for being amazingly talented and wonderfully tolerant of me when RL decided to go balls up on me. Thank you for working with me, hon! :) I can only hope that this story does a little bit of justice to her beautiful art, which you should all go look at and admire at her Art Post forthwith. Thanks also and always to our lovely mods who always do a masterful job. You make this challenge so much fun to participate in!

Summary: It wasn't like Jensen planned to find a door to the past on his college campus; things like that just sort of happen at college.

He hadn't got more than a few paces when a guy dressed in leggings, a long, brass-buttoned coat, and carrying a sword rounded the corner towards him. )
Title: Somewhere Between Hell and the Sky
Fandom: Supernatural
Pairing: Sam/Dean
Rating: PG
Word count: 17,760
Warnings: Fantasy violence, some gore

Summary: Ever since their mom was killed in a dragon attack on the city of Lawrence, Sam and Dean have earned their living as dragon hunters. It's a decent enough gig, until Sam fails to die after being doused with dragon fire and promptly starts acting strangely even by his standards. And Dean would like to help, but between the dragons apparently being very interested in Sam and Sam apparently being very not interested in Dean's help, he's not sure which problem to tackle first.

A/N: Written for the 2014 round of [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang. The title is from the absolutely gorgeous song Silver Islet by Poor Angus.

A massive thank you to my lovely artist [livejournal.com profile] soserendipity, who contended with a brutal lack of free time to create the art for this challenge. I think we were both perhaps too patient with each other, my dear, but it all worked out in the end! Her submission caught my imagination immediately, so much so that I forsook my familiar realm of J2 for opportunity to write for it. All of the art she has created is beautiful and unique, and I only hope that my SPN-fu is sufficient to do it some justice with the story. Go and see and leave her much love at her Art Post!

Thanks ever and always to [livejournal.com profile] dugindeep for cracking the whip and also helping with the problem-solving stages of this one.

And thanks to the mods for running this challenge and also for their patience with our scheduling mix up!

Title: Misspelled
Fandom: CW RPS
Pairing: Jared/Jensen (mostly preslash)
Rating: PG
Word count: 9650
A/N: Written for the 2013 round of [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang. Apologies to the mods for the late posting. A snowstorm knocked out my Internet (again! What the hell, winter?). Kudos to [livejournal.com profile] angstpuppy for giving me this inspiring image to work with! Also available on AO3.

Summary: Jensen's not sure what he did to deserve getting magically bungee-corded to the most inept witch he's ever met, but he's more than willing to start apologizing if it'll get Jared off his back. Pretty literally, in fact.

Jensen hung there for a few long minutes, wondering whom he was supposed to call when dealing with abrupt shifts in the Earth's gravitational field. )

Just an FYI for anyone who cares that I posted my submission for [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang yesterday. Hurrah! I had the pleasure of working with the kind and wicked talented [livejournal.com profile] becc_j so, y'know, it's pretty cool. You should all check it out.

Elegy for the Living
Summary: “Great,” Jensen muttered. “I’m going into the Underworld to get my best friend's soul back armed with the power of song. How could that possibly go wrong?” A modern myth.

Read the story! It is awesome!
See the art! It is also awesome!

A/N: Written for [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang's 2012 round. Massive kudos and thank yous to the lovely and talented [livejournal.com profile] becc_j with whom I had the pleasure and honour to collaborate this round. I loved her prompt from the moment I saw/heard it; it was gorgeous and intriguing and gave me the opportunity to work with three things I love: J2, Greek mythology and Spirited Away. A million thank yous, my dear - it's been an absolute delight working with you! Go check out her fantastic art post and tell her how amazing she is! This story is influenced by both the myth of Orpheus and Eurydice and the Studio Ghibli film Spirited Away. It is not necessary to have knowledge of either to read this.
