OH MY GOD, JOHN WATSON, I LOVE YOU SO MUCH. YOU DESERVE HUGS FOREVER.

There'd better not be as long a time lag in the storyline between this episode and the first episode of series three as there is in the books, is all I'm gonna say. *flails*

Um, I haven't watched this one yet, but if they follow canon, there's a huge time lag. Three years between The Final Problem and The Adventure of the Empty House and poor Watson loses his wife in that time too.

I know! That's why I'm so worried! Because it was one thing when Watson was married, didn't live at Baker St. and had known Holmes for near ten years, but in this show the dynamic is a lot more codependent (in generally non-Winchester angst ways) and I fear that he's going to break John's heart even more than he already has. I'm hoping that, with the other changes they've made, they choose to shorten the time in light of the different places the characters are in compared to the original stories.

WATCH THIS. SERIOUSLY. I HEART THEM ALL. ESPECIALLY JOHN (Even Moriarity, in his twisted way. Though maybe not Donovan and Anderson *shakes fist*).

Well I hope you enjoy it! I thought it was excellent and hurtful and oh my god, John (you may notice a running theme in my reaction *grins*).

But seriously. Really good story and the acting, as ever, was just enthralling.
