Thank you! *beams* It's such a relief, I can't even begin.
My degree's in Ancient History, and my thesis is an analysis of the interaction between the individual, elite athlete and his community in Classical Greece. I got to look at the victory odes of a writer named Pindar, as well as the statues of winning athletes and some dedications put up by the Greek cities (poleis).
Yes, I think you may have. *grins* I've been complaining about it for a long time, so there would have been plenty of opportunity.
This is a Master's degree thesis (unlike in the US, Canadian schools have you earn a Master's degree before you go on for a PhD). No journal publishing for me though - not only is it too long for a journal article, but also in Classics you'd normally either farm a Master's thesis down the road for several articles or, more commonly, it becomes the basis for your PhD thesis which then becomes the basis for your first book.
Sorry, I was at the beach yesterday so no internet.
And no, after much angsting deliberation, I've decided not to continue on for a PhD since doing this thesis has taught me that I kind of really hate research. *sheepish* I do love the teaching I've been doing though, and being in a school atmosphere in general, so I'm going to apply for teacher's college. *laughs* One of these days, I may actually get a job like a real adult.
And it's just shy of 90 pages plus bibliography though, considering I started researching for it last June and have ostensibly spent the entire last year working on it, I'd hope it would be at least that long.
Wow, that's a heck of a lot of pages though. Impressive~ and yeah, I think I don't really like researching all that much.... so I'm trying to figure out where that takes me next XD

Are you publishing your thesis in a journal? I'd be curious to read it. ^_^ Is it your undergrad or grad school thesis?
