I return! ^__^ After six weeks abroad and several days of slacking off getting over jet-lag - I'm sure you all missed me very much. *wry*

My trip was pretty awesome overall - ended up spending 4 weeks in Greece and the rest of the time in England. Greece is very hot at this time of year (especially when you're visiting archeological sites like it's going out of fashion). Spent the majority of my time in Athens (the Acropolis! the National Archeology Museum! the Agora!), but also visited Delphi, Corinth, Mycenae, Tiryns, Epidauros, Argos, Sparta, Pylos (sorta), Olympia and the islands of Mykonos and Delos. Boo yeah. Now I need to remit my expenses to the school so they can help pay for some of my monster trip. *fist pump for scholarships*

Also had the distinct joy of meeting ldyavalon for lunch and fangirling. It was awesome to meet you hon! I'll be getting the photos my cousin took in September and I'll send you a copy.

So yeah! Trip was good, not enough writing was done and now I need to figure out what I haven't done so far this summer than needs finishing before school starts back up orz. I'm slowly working backwards through my f-lists to see what I've missed in the last month and a half, but if you have a) made a post or b) know of a post that you think I'd want to read, I'd appreciate it.

And of course, if people have questions etc about the actual specifics of my trip or a particular site or whatever, please feel free!

I got my holidays approved!! So now all I need is to buy a plane ticket...

Yay for holidays! For this summer or next? (I know we were both dithering over American cons but I hope you have vacation coming before then - Spain?).

Ugh, it's one of those weeks I'd like to erase if I could. That good friend I was roleplaying with has decided not to speak to me anymore. I probably deserve it, but... And one of my best friends in Spain has lost her mother to cancer. And a close friend in Spain died in a car accident. I'm NOT feeling too good right now.

Well, these are for September, so I can get my winter clothes and my PS1 and PS3 here with me... And go to the Comic Con in my home town... Which finishes 2 days before I get paid :S I'll see how much my September paycheck is (yay for overtime!!!) and depending on how much taxes eat, I may consider YaoiCon ;)

Oh hon, that's awful. *sends more hugs* Though I have to say that I very much doubt you deserve having someone do that to you - especially someone who's supposed to be a friend.

Yay for ComicCon (though less for cons that always come before pay day orz)! I've never been to YaoiCon, so you'll have to tell me how it is if you go. ^^

Well, I told another player something she asked me NOT to tell, so I can understand she's angry at me. She sees it as a betrayal of her trust. Right now, tho', after the other tragedies, it doesn't even seem that bad...

YES!!! I'm not really into comics all that much anymore, but I love seeing the friends I made there that I ONLY see there LOL. And the artist I've been crushing on for YEARS is an invited author :P

Mmmmmm, I want Seph/Cloud/Zack in the Wild Ones 'verse, if possible. Because those snippets in the first chapter had me wanting MOAR :P

It was quite the trip - Greece only seems to have one temperature setting in the summer; hot. It rained all of twice while I was there and the rest of the time it was blue skies and sun. I got sunburned a lot. Average temp was about 33-36 celcius, 25 overnight, and it went up over 40 a couple times. *melts just thinking about it*

Most people speak at least some English and all the street signs etc were bilingual. Their road signs (i.e. Tripoli = 97km that way), however, sucked lots.

And Sparta was disappointing actually - very untouristy. I couldn't even find someone selling postcards! And their traffic may be the most terrifying thing I've ever seen (no stop signs or street lights anywhere).

Definitely worth a visit though - especially if you're interested in ancient history (or want to go sleep in the sun on an island somewhere I suppose ^^). Hope you get to go someday!

You dont know how excited I was to get your postcard. I ran around my kitchen for like 5 minuets with it lol. Glad you had a good time. I'll prolly never get to go anywhere like that so im going to live vicariously through you. XD

^__^ Thank you! It really was a hell of a time and, while I don't think I'd like to stay much longer than four weeks, it was good to have enough time to visit all these different places instead of being limited to Athens/Attica. Where did you go?

And I hadn't intended on uploading pictures (they're mostly of rocks and pots and the ocean) but I can if you want to see them. Anywhere in particular?
