Dear Santa,

First of all - thank you! You are all kinds of awesome and I hope that you'll have as much fun working on my piece as I will waiting for it. I hope one of my prompts is inspiring you!

I tend to be pretty flexible in terms of what I like to read. I will quite happily enjoy either gen or slash for any of my prompts, with any rating. I requested these characters because I love them all - watching them interact, work together, show off their strengths and generally do what they do best makes me very happy. I'm a sucker for happy endings, but more in the sense that I like to see my characters at least ambiguously happy in the end rather than a burning love for schmoop (pretty much as long as no one ends up traumatized or dead I will be very happy). A mood that's appropriate to the characters and the story you're telling is the best thing in my opinion. I'm not a fan of m-preg, extreme OOCness or death.

My prompts hopefully give you plenty to work with, but in case you're looking for more info about the fandoms:
The Last Remnant - This is actually an RPG for the XBox 360 and PC though not so well known, generally. If you didn't get assigned off this fandom you can see the first meeting between Rush, the anachronistic main character, and David, his boyfriend the Marquis of Athlum, here. Also, [personal profile] ciceqi is currently working on a game script. I could cheerfully spend all day considering how completely Rush turns David's life upside down - and how David really needs someone like that to help him live to the fullest extent.

A Sex Therapist by Kodaka Kazuma is a great smutty one volume manga that somehow manages to avoid being overly cliché despite everything in my head that says it ought to be. The characters have a surprising amount of depth for what is essentially just porn and I really enjoy the way Kodaka hints at Kain's personality/daily life without giving up the mystique that surrounds Bar Kain.

Tales of the Abyss - This PS2 game can be a hard to get a hold of (it's out of print), though there's also an anime that you can torrent off the net. The canon has so many awesome characters in it and it deals really well with the difficult, jagged issues of identity, responsibility and self-worth in your own eyes and your peers'. Guy Cecil is all kinds of awesome and I continue to be impressed by the way Luke grows as a person as the story progresses.

Star Ocean Second Story - Also a PS game with a corresponding anime, though this one was recently re-released as Star Ocean Second Evolution for the PSP so it's not as hard to find. And really, despite a few translation ughs (the dragons' names spring immediately to mind) and Ashton's voice actor, it's a pretty good re-release. Ashton is definitely my favourite character, though this canon really brings out my love for party antics - they're such a dynamic group that I can't help but be delighted by the way they all bounce off each other, in good ways and bad. Both in-game and post-game, they're all too much fun to pass up.

Aaa-nd I think that's quite enough out of me. Thanks again for being you - I'm very definitely looking forward to your fic! *so excited*
