Hi! It's September and I'm really not sure how that happened. I'm also not sure how I haven't posted an update since bloody January. Can I blame my chronic slacker tendencies my job?

I've let the mirroring lapse hardcore in recent years, but this summer's mass immigration to these parts has encouraged me to try and be better about it. Er, except for my Master List post. There's no way I'm going to remember to update that with Dreamwidth links. I'll always link to AO3, at least?
I am actually in a really good place right now, emotionally speaking. My job is very busy, but I feel more confident in my position and the courses I'm teaching than I did last year. I'm also helping out with some clubs that I'm actually interested in, which makes it more fun than work. I'm hoping to do more writing as a result of this emotional upswing, but it will depend on how organized I am.

- Guess who just realized that she never actually finished the last part of her spn_j2_xmas fic from last year? orz Let's see if I can get it done before this year's challenge.

spn_reversebang and managed to snag an awesome prompt from an even more awesome artist! There's another prompt still up in the claims that is SO not in my usual wheelhouse, but is really tempting, IF I can find the time to work on it. I'll have to deliberate further.
- I'm planning on signing up for Yuletide this year for the first time in four years! I blame Marty McFly (no, really).
- Quite uncharacteristically, I know what I what to write for bigbang next year. So I'm plotting that out in my *cough* spare time.
Also the million lovely comments that people have left that I haven't responded to yet. FULL OF FAIL.

- I worked a lot. Being a high school English teacher is REALLY time-consuming, just in case you were wondering.
- I went to SIX conventions between March and June: CostumeCon 35, Awesome Con, Niagara Falls Comicon, Anime North, Ad-Astra and Toronto Comicon. Some highlights include my kickass Borderlands cosplay, going to Washington DC for the first time, meeting DAVID FUCKING TENNANT and making a pair of worbla bracers in a workshop. Ask me for details if you want info/photos!
- I went to Alberta to see my sister and admire the mountains.
- I saw Ed Sheeran in concert twice (once in Toronto and once in Edmonton), Hans Zimmer in concert once, and went to a bunch of plays.
...and that's all I can think of right now. What's everyone else been up to?
