Calling all authors! The AO3 Fundraiser Auction is looking for authors to contribute their services to helping raise money for the Archive of Our Own. Authors can throw their names into the pot up until April 11. The auction lists go live on April 15, at which point everyone can start bidding to get a story from their favourite author(s). I have, perhaps foolishly, offered up my own services, and I'd love to see some of y'all joining in as well!

Details can be found here.

In other news, I have not finished my rough draft for bigbang. This should surprise no one.

Ooooh, thank you for pointing me in the direction of that fundraiser! AO3 is awesome, and I'm definitely gonna go sign up, too.

Hee! Made me giggle. :) And which bigbang is this for? I'm still working on mine for [livejournal.com profile] sncross_bigbang... how I love playing in the SuperLock universe. ♥

*nods* I'm really pleased with AO3 so I was pleased to learn about this fundraiser. Now here's hoping that someone actually bids on us! :P

I'm talking about the [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_bigbang, which is always breaking souls at this time of year. Complete drafts are due May 1! *dies*

Just this morning it dawned on me that it's sadly April, and I'm still not writing my big bang.

Where did April even come from, seriously. I think March made a tactical retreat while I wasn't looking and is now laughing its head off at me and my poor time management skills.

I am writing it, technically, just not at a decent enough rate to get the darn thing done on time. Probably I should be working on that.

*waves poms poms* Good luck with yours! You can do it!

The sad fact is that my job is entirely deadline driven, so I technically know what the days are, but I never relate the dates to RL, only to work assignments. STUPID WORK.

It's so bad that I KNOW what to be doing with mine but I just haven't been touching it at all. I spent the last two weeks playing around with a threesome HS AU that is now nearing BB length, so I'm tempted to just use that instead LOL

Oh god, I do exactly the same thing. I had to start putting submission due dates and etc. in my regular calendar to remind myself. Not that it's helped, clearly, but the thought is there.

I'm sure that, whichever you go with, it will be much anticipated. :) If you ever need an extra set of hands for pom pom waving or whatever, you can count me in!

I definitely feel like we need to start a BB cheering champ, so thanks bb, and I for you!

If you wanna chat, you can find me at cleflinks [at] gmail [dot] com, or on skype as cleflink. Otherwise, I shall continue to send good thoughts and creativey inspiration your way! ^_

Desire to contribute to a site I use all the time wars with fear that no one would bid on me, as a relative newbie. May bite the bullet anyway *peeks through fingers*

From: [identity profile] cleflink.livejournal.com

That is exactly the reason I have for very rarely participating in author auctions; the fear that nobody likes me is a powerful anti-motivator. But I am very fond of AO3 and I can't really afford to participate as a bidder (although I might anyway since I'm not all that bright, sometimes), so author seems like a good compromise.

The more the merrier, I say! *cheers*
