This time next week I shall be on a plane to Las Vegas for the Las Vegas Supernatural Con! OH YEAH.

SUPER AWESOME. ...that was not intended as a pun

Dude, I'm going to have to look for like, short sleeves and stuff. Yesterday I was slogging through enough slush to get my knee high winter boots soaked from top to bottom (it slushed instead of raining or snowing - worst of both worlds!) and we've been getting enough snow to make me lament the fact that we don't own a snow blower. Desert will be quite the change!

Don't know how much access I'm going to have to the Internet while I'm there, but there will definitely be flailing when I get back. *dances*

So, so jealous here. New England is definitely not the place to be this time of year. (Firesign! *waves* I've got to meet more local fangirls. And by "more", I mean at least one.)

I honestly don't think I possess the poise or maturity that would be required for me to be in the same room as ANY of the cast. So like, even if I won the lottery and could afford to go to a con, I am not sure I could do it. Seriously, a while back when someone was talking about being in room with Jensen playing his guitar, I literally started crying just thinking about it. If you ever met me in real life, you would know that yeah, I'm a bit of a spaz, but you'd never guess that I'd be that way about actors and characters in a show.

That doesn't stop me from being jealous of those of you who get to do it.

I totally know that feeling. Sometimes it feels kind of 'Canada! The Final Frontier Nobody Comes To' up here. Also, I'm bad at making Internet friends, so my pool of people to meet isn't so great to begin with. *wry*

I went to the Toronto Con the year before last and, honestly, I hardly said anything to any of them anyway. Hi, thank you for the autograph, *covert staring*, next in line please. I did talk some to Richard because he is impossible not to talk to, but yeah, not a big talking to actor-types person. It can be surprisingly overwhelming considering they're just, y'know, people. Mostly, I'm going to watch them be awesome during the panels (at which I watch other people ask questions, because I have none). Sometimes I feel like I do this fangirl thing wrong. But I have fun, so! Also, LAS VEGAS.

I'm sure I'll have lots to tell; we're doing Vegas and also visiting some other stuff in the area (read: rocks) while we're there, so there should be a lot of pictures of sunshine and desert, if nothing else.

Lots of super gorgeous scenery to see out that way. Sounds like you'll be visiting some of the canyons and valleys (and rocks! and sand!) It's already warmed up where I live, but I'd love to see more pictures of sunshine and desert! Seriously jealous. There's lots of landmarks and landscapes in that area I really want to see. Well, and the Supernatural Convention and Las Vegas. Oooh, maybe bring back a pic or two of of the city at night??

Lots of rocks and sand. Very different from where I live (which is mostly rocks and trees). It is a balmy -4C today, and we're all going to look pretty funny arriving in Las Vegas with our winter coats over our arms.

Can't wait to see them! Only conventions I have a chance of saving up enough money for are Toronto and Burban, but then most of my friends don't really go to them now, as I was late to fandom. Ah, well. Maybe next year if they still have them.

This is actually kind of like a family trip, funnily enough: it's me, my mum and my sister, because I belong to the kind of household that bonds over the Winchesters (except my brother. He's not so down with it).

I went to the Toronto Con in 2011, because it's practically in my backyard, but this past year they didn't have any of the guests I wanted to see but hadn't yet (mostly Mark Sheppard and Mark Pellegrino because they're awesome) and Vegas did so we decided 'fuck it' and made it a vacation.

I shall do my best! Thank you!

Nice! You're lucky. That is soooo not my family. I got a couple of side long looks when I mentioned watching Supernatural. They aren't big on that kind of thing. Or conventions, heh.

I might have talked a friend of mine into going to Burbank, but we'll see. If not, hopefully there's next year to try one out for fun.

You're gonna have an awesome vacation! Never been to Vegas, but I'm sure you'll find plenty to do ;)
