*frustrated* I really don't know, which is most of the problem. Going to be J2 of some sort, obviously, and probably AU since that's what I do, but I've got nothing on the back burner right now that's got enough content to be a big bang.The other times I've participated in this challenge I've already started writing when the signups opened so I'm feeling rather at loose ends without even an idea to start with.

I've got no intention of doing a sequel to anything I've written and I want to avoid writing in any cliched 'types' that I've already worked with (space, superheroes, dragons, pirates, etc). I'm useless at high school fic, so probably not that, and nothing overly porny because I'm bad at that too. Wouldn't mind doing some magic, maybe, because there's always room for more magic, but that covers a lot of categories. Otherwise, I'm buggered if I know.

I'm tempted to go trawling through some of the prompt memes to see if anything catches my eye, or else look at the categories on j2_recs for an area to start in.

Yes! And it makes me so happy to see the big response on just the first day alone (and that there are so many J2 sign-ups--my fave, obviously lol)

hmmmmm, trolling through j2_recs is a good idea, actually. What about something like J2 as assassins or something like that? Or maybe one of them is the other's bodyguard for some reason. I mean, you could add a magical element to either of those, or anything really. Jensen is magic, and people are out to get him, so Jared is assigned to protect him lol. Or something!

That would be awesome, actually. Usually I just muddle about on my own and ask my long-suffering family members for their opinions (with varying degrees of prevarication about what I'm actually writing *grins*). Do you, um, Skype or AIM or whatnot?

Oh, those are both cool ideas. I don't think I could write the second one, but I'd love to see someone else tackle it. :) The idea of a missing heir is quite intriguing to me, though. Hmmm...

*laughs* Well, I do always want to make you happy, so. Probably no magical creatures this time as I've done a couple of those recently (always Jensen, for some reason. Poor Jared), but I'm definitely keen to get some magic in there, so we'll see what happens!
