So as if the xkcd comic wasn't bad enough, I was typing in student emails for the first year Latin class I'm TAing and someone has the year 1991 in her email address. It was quite a shock to realize that, yes, someone who is twenty would have been born in 1991. *boggles*

I'm too young to be feeling old! What the hell am I going to do when I'm, like, 70?

In other news, this post has nothing to do with anything!

Yeah, I know, I know. Y'all should be used it by now (there will be some SPN fic going up today or tomorrow though. And then hopefully some FFVII).

I know the feeling. Going back to uni these days, I had the wonderful realisation that I've been playing computer games for longer than most of my fellow students have been alive. I'm literally old enough to be their mother, and gods above, I don't feel it.

I keep having these little moments of disconnect, where things make perfect sense until I think about them in terms of numbers (e.g. my uni uses student numbers that start with the year you began, so mine says 02. And I'm taking extra undergraduate courses with people whose cards start with 10). And then I feel the gap.

Although I honestly don't think somebody is 'old' until they're, like, seventy. Up till then it's all still growing up. ^^
