Really enjoyable, but...

I love, love, love that you wrote a continuation of this 'verse. It's one of my favorites ever, and it was a pleasure to spend more time in it. I love Jared's relentless cheerfulness, and how much Jensen has come out of his shell. And some things I hadn't thought of, like how difficult sex would be, and that even touching is still not casual between them. I also really love that they don't play games, that they're honest with each other and the problems that crop up are not ones that've been caused by one of them being stupid or secretive. I don't think you really needed the flashbacks, honestly, but I guess they do explain Jen's relationship with his parents at least. The rest, I feel like we were already able to glean from his behavior, you know?
My one real frustration, though, is that this feels kinda like a half-story. You bring up three main plot points: Jen and Jared's friends, the guys meeting the parents, and the Home issue. And none of them are really concluded. We don't know if Jensen's revelation to Sandy--of which, by the way, I agree with him that she had no right to ask of him--made any difference with Jared's friends and his future relationship with him. We see Jared meet Jensen's parents--which doesn't go well and leaves future visits up in the air--but not vice versa despite the story starting with Jared's mom. And we definitely don't know what'll happen with Home. It really felt like everything was hanging when the story stopped. I hope there will be a sequel, at least, to tell us what happened?
And also because any addition to this 'verse would be terrific. I really, really do love the premise and this version of the guys. It feels like true love rather than just affectionate lust, like so many other RP fics. :)
Thank you!
