Sherlock crouched low over the newest body in a lovely little serial killer case, nearly nose-to-nose with the corpse as he examined the ligature marks around the fleshy neck. Dark things skittered across his fingers and curled in the lees and valleys of the woman's clothing, cooing with soft, happy malice.

It was just a late lunch. At Jared's favourite bakery. With a guy he really liked. Who'd been coffee flirting with him for the past five weeks instead of just asking if he could borrow Jared's dick for a few hours, like he used to do. Which Jared definitely wasn't falling for. Because he was not that easy.

"You say one word that's meant to make me feel better and I will stab you," Jensen warned, in Dean's serious as shit voice. Say what you would about the guy, Dean knew how to sound like he was five seconds from eviscerating someone. "Okay? I will stab you."

I am actually in a similar situation; nearly every WIP I've got right now is a timestamp to something else I've written. Of course, there are always things I haven't finished (because I'm terrible), so I wasn't worried about not having enough WIPs to play.

Yay for having your plate be free, though! Bet it won't last long!

*grins* That one's got a touch of magic/magic realism in it, so when Sherlock says 'Dark' things, he means it. And it's definitely meant to be creepy, so I'm glad that comes across.

Sherlock knew the exact moment when John arrived at the crime scene: one moment he was irritably brushing aside the shadows that were licking up the bloody smears on the floor and the next he found himself abruptly alone as every wisp of Darkness bee-lined for the door in a wave of chittering glee.

Because Dark things might have congregated around death, but that didn't hold a candle to the way they congregated around John Watson.

*laughs* Yes, I suppose it did. It's actually from a timestamp for Heartstrings (http://cleflink.livejournal.com/79908.html), and no one could accuse rockstar!Jensen of being shy about his desire for the cock.

I tend to avoid non-AU because of the whole 'happily married (not to each other) with kids' thing, but that one's based on a prompt from j2_crack that was just too silly to resist. And I do enjoy getting you hot and bothered, so this is an all-around win for me. :)

Yours is on my list as well! It looks awesome! I have a lot of catching up to do, reading-wise. I've still got BBs that I mean to read and haven't got around to yet. *is fail* Good luck getting your second story done!
