Thank you for the thoughtful answer. I think we'll have to agree to disagree: it may be old-school, but I still think stories (actual stories, v. timestamps or vignettes) should have actually beginnings, middles, and ends. To me, the whole point of a story is to organize life into something that, well, tells a story. Otherwise, a slice of life is just...life. If you're going to break up something as major as the Home directive, you should deal with it, too, a la Chekov's proverbial gun in the first scene. But it's your story, of course, and I know not everyone agrees with me. Just giving feedback, the critical as well as the praise, to me it seemed like an unfinished story, sorry. I very much hope for more, though! It was still one of the best pieces in BB this year. Thank you, K
