This is exactly the impression that I was trying to convey - we can probably guess if that's a nervous laugh or a derisive laugh or whatever, but we can't be sure because our narrator can't give us the clues we need to know for certain. I'm delighted to hear that it worked for you (instead of just being frustrating/vague).

I think that the people at Home are going to be a little shocked by how much life in the Normal world has changed Jensen. And Jensen is going to find it most satisfying. :)
