Point the First: Exam season sucks. I'll touch base with all of y'all in a couple of weeks.

Point the Second: I don't usually do shameless plugs, but I make exceptions for family members. My sister has her first ever shirt design up for voting on threadless. If anybody is willing to take a look and, if you like it, give it an upvote, I would be much obliged.

Ta da!

The Honest Pupitician, a cool t-shirt design

Peace out! :)

Seriously, how is this country even a real place? Every time the road bends, you see another mountain in the distance. Just stunning.

I hope everyone is having a good July!
I know I'm not usually one to signal boost, but I think I've got a couple other Trekkies on my flist and they are so close to making their goal that I want to try and help.

For the Love of Spock: A Documentary

This project is something that Leonard Nimoy was working on with his son, Adam, before he passed away. Adam is now trying to get the funds necessary to make it a reality. I would love to see this documentary get made and, hopefully, some of y'all would too.

Wow, remember me? I didn't think so.

I'd say that it's pretty obvious that I'm not doing a great job (or any job at all, really), of updating this journal. Sorry! I shall try to be more on top of that in the New Year. If you're interested in my work, I hope that you're keeping an eye on either my LJ or my AO3 account, as they both get updated with much more regular frequency.

And now for the real purpose of this post: CHRISTMAS CARDS!

If you'd like a Christmas card from me in exotic Canada, simply comment with your address and the name you'd like on the envelope. Comments are screened.
Hello all!

First of all, I want to say thank you to the lovely people who left me notes at the love meme. Those are the messages that I save for a day when I'm feeling miserable to cheer myself up, and it really means a lot. So thank you!

...or is the other way around? HMMM.

So I very rarely signal boost because I'm really lazy, but this looks awesome and I love [livejournal.com profile] tebtosca very much, so here you go!

The Beggar's Banquet: Round Opens August 2nd
Right, so my recent cosplay post has revealed that some of you poor people have never seen The Labyrinth, which is a tragedy of monumental proportions. To that end! I am wondering if anyone is interested in a Labyrinth watchalong.

How it works:

- We set a date/time that is convenient for the most people
- I provide links to the movie, with the options for streaming or download
- At the appointed time, we all begin
- I open a post on my journal for random comments as people watch, so it's like we're all watching in one big, intercontinental living room!
- PROFIT

This is, of course, also open to people who have seen the movie before - one can never watch The Labyrinth too many times.

Poll!
[Poll #1975118]
To that end, I have some cosplay pictures to share!

At the end of May (because that's how on top of these things I am right now), I went to my local anime convention with my sister. And we did The Labyrinth!

You remind me of the babe )

And speaking of the 1980s! How about a couple of other people's costumes that brought me right back to my childhood?
I missed him again!? (Presumably, only the Canadians will get this one)
Go, go, Gadget arm?

Also, we managed to find some maroon corduroy for my Dragoncon costume, which is awesome. Corduroy is hard to find, yo.

ILU LJ! :)
But some clever person *cough*[livejournal.com profile] becc_j*cough* has informed me that my computer has an embedded microphone and I've wanted to join in [livejournal.com profile] tebtosca's voice meme since she started it, so I figured I'd take the time out to give it a go (mostly I just wanted to pronounce all the Latin stuff). I figure I'm going to continue to be pretty well incommunicado from now until July, so this mass of rambling is sort of to prove that I'm still alive. Ta-da! *jazz hands*

Aaaand, while I'm up to my eyeballs in work, how about a fic that isn't even for any of my fandoms? *rolls eyes* Only me.

Never let it be said that James T. Kirk didn't know how to enjoy a good bar fight. )
F-list! Hello!

Right, so, here's the skinny. My new job is wonderful but it means that I have precisely no time ever to get stuff done. So if I've been failing at talking to you/answering your comments/pretending that I'm a real person, that's why. I'm working on it, I swear.

To that end! I still want to send Christmas cards this year to those who would like them, but there's no chance in high heaven that I'm going to be able to do ficbits for you, unless you want the cards to arrive in, like, March. Sorry. I may be able to be tempted into doing a Second Christmas round this coming summer, because it's always fun to get stuff in the post, but we shall see.

Those who would like a card! Please give me your address and the name you'd like on the envelope.

Cheers!

I've decided to embrace my (not so) inner lazy sod. In other words, I'm bored and not doing anything even marginally useful. So why not pick some questions to ask me? *sparkles*

Questions! )

N/B: All you American peoples are welcome to play when you get up, if you like. Please, join in!
Reveals have happened at [livejournal.com profile] holmestice! I... am still in disbelief that I actually wrote this. Writing for challenges certainly expands my horizons!

You know what they say about guys with big hands, right? )

Halloween is over which means that it is time to start thinking about Christmas, which means that is time to start sending out CHRISTMAS CARDS! Aren't you excited? (NB: that question is rhetorical) Also, I totally blame [personal profile] ciceqi for putting this idea in my head.

I am doing a card-ficbit combo this year: anybody who wants one will get a short fic included in their Christmas card.

What I need from you:
1. Your address - even if I probably have it already, since I'm kind of a spaz
2. The name you want on the envelope/card - while it's kind of funny to receive things addressed to 'cleflink' it does get me some funny looks from whoever brought in the mail.
3. A prompt! (Those of you who couldn't care less and just want a card can leave off this step).

Prompt format: character/pairing + word/phrase (+ title of original fic if you want a timestamp)

I will post to anyone, anywhere in the world.

Responses to this post will be screened, elsewise you can PM me or send me an email at cleflinks [at] hotmail [dot] com

I have not done one of these before, but I think maybe there might be at least a couple people out there who like to make me smile?

♥ LOVE MEME ♥

Full Meme | My Thread
*skids in, trips, hits wall*

Yeah, it's been that kind of week, though, interestingly, not exactly in a bad way. I started my new co-op placement on Tuesday so I've been running off my feet getting myself organized and up-to-date on my work. Which means that I miss sleeping. *wry*

So yes! Short post to say thank you to the lovely people who gifted me with some hearts over the past few days. You all brightened my day(s) so very much! *huuuuuuugs* Also I totally didn't get anything done in time for Lupercalia (sadness), but there is now half a Sam, wolf!Dean story hanging out on my harddrive which I shall have to return to someday.

Cheers, all! ^_^
It's now officially 2012! I've not done one of these before, but I'm actually pretty pleased with my output this year, so I figured I'd give it a go.

Amazingly, cleflink actually wrote stuff in 2011 )

Wow, that was a lot more html than I was expecting. But it was fun to write, even if no one ever reads it. ^_~ Happy end of 2011 everyone!
