Hello everyone! I hope that you all had a lovely time over Christmas. Mine was pretty restful, which was great until I was forced to admit that all of the work that I brought home over the Christmas break still had to be done, and I've done mostly nothing since work for the past three days. Safe to say, the weekend is not going to be more of the same. :P

The semester is nearly over! \o/ Which means that I'm moving into one of the two busiest months of my entire year, but my second semester should be a lot lighter on marking, which will hopefully help me balance my time better. *fingers crossed* One of these days, I will learn how to manage my marking, I am determined!

I'm trying very hard to have the rest of my [livejournal.com profile] spn_j2_xmas fic posted before I go back to work on Monday. To the lovely people who commented on the original post, I shall respond to you once the rest is up so that you know that there's more to read. :P I'm also slowly trucking away on something for [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang, which is probably going to be my main fandom focus for the next little while. I have about a million WIPs on my computer right now, so one of my goals for 2017 is to finish as many of them as I can because it's getting ridiculous.

How are all of you doing?
I am going on vacation in two days! Exciting! However, I would most definitely rather do this meme than start packing, so please ask away!

Writerly questions under the cut )

Snagged from [livejournal.com profile] siennavie because why not: When you see this, share 3 random snippets from 3 WIPs.

Sherlock crouched low over the newest body in a lovely little serial killer case, nearly nose-to-nose with the corpse as he examined the ligature marks around the fleshy neck. Dark things skittered across his fingers and curled in the lees and valleys of the woman's clothing, cooing with soft, happy malice.

It was just a late lunch. At Jared's favourite bakery. With a guy he really liked. Who'd been coffee flirting with him for the past five weeks instead of just asking if he could borrow Jared's dick for a few hours, like he used to do. Which Jared definitely wasn't falling for. Because he was not that easy.

"You say one word that's meant to make me feel better and I will stab you," Jensen warned, in Dean's serious as shit voice. Say what you would about the guy, Dean knew how to sound like he was five seconds from eviscerating someone. "Okay? I will stab you."

Also, for anyone who missed it, my [livejournal.com profile] spn_reversebang story got posted this morning! Yay! Somewhere Between Hell and the Sky which is straight up Wincest dragon apocalypse AU. You didn't even know you were missing that in your life, did you?
But some clever person *cough*[livejournal.com profile] becc_j*cough* has informed me that my computer has an embedded microphone and I've wanted to join in [livejournal.com profile] tebtosca's voice meme since she started it, so I figured I'd take the time out to give it a go (mostly I just wanted to pronounce all the Latin stuff). I figure I'm going to continue to be pretty well incommunicado from now until July, so this mass of rambling is sort of to prove that I'm still alive. Ta-da! *jazz hands*

I've decided to embrace my (not so) inner lazy sod. In other words, I'm bored and not doing anything even marginally useful. So why not pick some questions to ask me? *sparkles*

Questions! )

Okay, so this comic about Professor Layton made me laugh out loud. Some of the puzzles are frigging dreadful.

I should probably be doing something productive. How about that.

This is exactly how those games work. Some of the puzzles are frigging dreadful.

Look at me pretending to be prolific!

I should be working on my bigbang. This is not it.

A/N: The utterly fantastic art was created for me by [livejournal.com profile] dollarformyname for the Fall 2016 round of [livejournal.com profile] quicky_bang. Also known as the comm where lucky authors do nothing and get amazing art in return. :)

Summary: Jared loves being a dessert chef even if catering wedding showers doesn't do much for his love life. Of course, this is the first time he's met a maid of honour who isn't a girl.

Please tell me you didn't send me to host this wedding shower because you want me to hook up with the man of honour )

I had absolutely nothing to do with the planning. You'll have to talk to Jen )
*creeps out sneakylike* Erm, hi all. Long time no see. Apologies for being MIA (again) - I mostly blame school (or, more accurately, procrastinating over my thesis) and a general disinclination recently towards doing anything productive. *cough* Made of fail, I know. I will try to be less of a loser in the future.

But I do have an exciting thing! [livejournal.com profile] cejotting has recently translated my FFVII fic In the Closet into Russian! I can't read it at all, but I have no doubt that a fantastic job was done. Thanks for the interest and your hard work darling!

Also, don't quote me on it, but I may have some original fic to share with you in the next couple of weeks (this is me branching out)! *crosses fingers*

And for those who are interested, [livejournal.com profile] yaoi_challenge has signups for it's Choose Your Own Author Challenge coming up in the New Year-ish and Yuletide is accepting fandom nominations for Yuletide 2009! All sorts of incentives for me to get my writing act together! *glees*
